Rimmel Kate Moss 107-review

kate moss rimmel 107 1.jpg

This is a drugstore lipstick that exceeds the expectation. It has high pigmentation as well as it wears extremely well. This lipstick cost £5.99 which is great considering the product is fantastic.

This lipstick, Rimmel Kate Moss in the shade 107 is a deep red even though it looks as though it will have a purple undertone, it is intact a deep cherry colour that suites all skin types. It glides on evenly however I find that when it wears away the outer corner are the first to fade. However it takes a long while until it fades so 1-2 touch ups throughout the day would be enough. It is suitable for the winter and spring time. This product is definitely worth the £5.99 however from the same collection there are much prettier colours for example the 110 which is a bright red/pink that is gorgeous and suits all skin types.

This was a short review because there isn’t much to say about this product other than it is a must have in your makeup bag, maybe not this colour specifically, all colours in that range are beautiful so find the one that works best with your skin colour. This product receives a 5/5 because it is a great product that is cheap and will change your makeup game.

Man in the Mushroom Mask-Review

maninthemushroom_zps5riqfmzn

Let me start by saying that this product just smells amazing which is always a plus, personally I think it smells like chocolate but not rich chocolate. Anyway as I have acne prone skin that is oily and dry at the same time (basically I am not blessed with good skin) so I am always on the pursue to find those can’t live without products that don’t cost a fortune. This was one of them. This product is also exclusive to Oxford street lush as far as I am aware.

I use a lot of products at the same time and my skin lately has been looking great, but I never know what in my beauty regime is doing the magic and once I ran out of the man in the mushroom (love the name) my face just wasn’t the same and I felt the difference within days of me no longer using it. This product made my skin feel so soft once I rinsed it off after having it on for 10 mins and the redness in my face which I get around spots, places of irritation or because my face is just red all the time for no apparent reason, this seemed to be the best solution as my redness was minimal after using it. It contains African honey, jojoba oil, oyster mushrooms and avocado help to soften, hydrate and condition the skin, whilst turmeric powder brightens the complexion of your skin. This mask is so refreshing once you put it on your face because its so cold (most masks from lush must be stored in a fridge).

After I ran out I went to purchase more and the were out and instead gave me the sample version and this happened 4 times which just highlights how popular this face mask is, I still haven’t been able to repurchase but I have been receiving a lot of free samples because of this (don’t get me wrong I am not complaining anything that says free I am all for it). This product deserves a 5/5 because it does exactly what it says it does and I love it you won’t regret purchasing this product, and its also the same price as all lush’s fresh face masks, £6.95 and it’s also non vegan in case anyone was wondering.

Rimmel Lasting finish+ Match Perfection-review

102_0721
This review will be covering two drugstore foundations. Personally I haven’t been a fan of Rimmel as their foundations have pink undertones which doesn’t match my skin tone. However, I thought to give these two a try after using Rimmel wake me up (made me look orange and caked, but the concealer is to die for). I have been putting these two to the test for the past 2 months and have finally come to conclude that Rimmel match perfection is better than the Lasting finish.

Let me start by telling you about the Lasting finish, it is high coverage which is a plus for be as I have blemishes and acne, however it had pink undertones and I have yellow undertones and they didn’t have yellow undertones for my colour even though they have 11 colours to choose from. It is a build-able foundation and blends good, but because I have dry skin, I found that at the end of the day around my mouth area and chin, my skin began to flake off. I thought it was due to the cold weather as I live in London, so I thought to try it again. At the beginning of the day the foundation looks good (i.e it doesn’t look cakey), bearing in mind I wear foundation from 7am till around 5.30pm so that’s around 10 and a half hours a day and this foundation claims it stays for 25 hours. Again the foundation began to make my skin crack around my mouth area, I was literally peeling my skin off, however the rest of my face stayed as it was (I didn’t use a setting spray but I dusted a bit of powder over it). In conclusion this foundation is a no no from me not only because it has pink undertones (I couldn’t find yellow undertones) but because its not suitable for dry skin in my opinion. I give it a 3/5 because it is high coverage and just because it didn’t suit me it doesn’t mean it won’t suit you.

Now for the Rimmel Match Perfection, this is a great product and I would highly recommend for all skin types, it wears well and it doesn’t patch throughout the day. Unlike the Lasting Finish, it has yellow undertones which suit me, and this is a light to medium coverage foundation which is buildable. I always set my foundation with either an Estee Lauder Lucidity translucent Pressed Powder or the Rimmel stay matte powder (I will be doing reviews on both) and it does last all day, it looks flawless and not cakey and blends okay and lasts throughout the day. This foundation has 12 shades which is fantastic as they go darker than the other foundation. All in all I give this foundation a 4/5 as its not the best foundation from the drugstore because it requires a few minutes of patting with a beauty blender.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner-Review

maybelline-gel-eyeliner-01
Before I start this review I would like to say if you are a beginner you may find this difficult at first however once you get the hang of it you will never stop using this gel liner. Also if you would like me to do a tutorial using pictures and steps then please comment if so :).

I have always been on the hunt for the perfect liner, I found the perfect liquid liner then BAM! Next thing you know its discontinued. Emotionally wrecked and unstable I began splashing cash here and there till I stumbled across this, the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner. I had read some reviews which were mostly positive so I thought to give it a shot. Let me tell you this I hated it the first time I tried because I had never tried gel liner before but I watched a few tutorials that use this liner and seriously my life has changed for the better.

I am not going to go on about how much I love this product, instead I am going to tell you why. It lasts all day, I wear it from 7am until 6pm and it doesn’t budge (but it will if you keep touching your eye area) it is jet black and easy to control and i can get that sharp winged eyeliner that slays all people. I have gotten so many compliments when I wear this liner and have brought it for a few friends and they love it. I purchased the matt version (unknowingly) and it looks amazing, it doesn’t flake away at all like some liquid or gel liners and it gives you a precise and defined line.

Its £7.99 which is a great price for the amount of product you receive, the only down side is that it dries out before you finish it. The packaging is amazing it comes in a small glass pot and a brush. However the brush I use for this is the real techniques liner brush only because it’s thinner but I tried the brush they provide and it gets the work done. (If I do a tutorial I will use the brush provided).

All in all this is a great product and I have repurchased several times and in different colours, they have green, blue, purple, black with gold glitter, black with silver glitter, shiny back and matt black, so there is a colour for everyone. I give this product a 4/5 only because it dries to quickly. All in all it is a fantastic product and I highly recommend.
